The Team

The Catering Company is owned by FDE Group who operate Fat Dog Café and Fat Dog to Go Takeaways, both in Arawa Street, Rotorua and since January 2007, Fat Dog on Campus at Waiariki Institute of Technology, Rotorua.

With Sister companies and partnerships, The Catering Company is a substantial catering operation able to cater for any situation, and with over 18 years, operating  history, The Catering Company has the resources and experience to catering for any situation.

Based at Rotorua The Catering Company can cater for you in our own venue, at one of many well-known function venues through out the greater Bay of Plenty and the central North island, or The Catering Company will ‘out cater’ at venue of your choice – catering in your home or in a paddock, or on a beach. 

The Catering Company has a fleet of specially outfitted vehicles, trailers and mobile catering equipment to provide delicious, fresh, hot food in the most basic of conditions. From small and intimate to large numbers requiring fast service, from buffet style to fully waited service, the Catering Company can cater for you. 

Choose from one of our popular menus or we can create a menu to cater for your specific requirements. At any function, we are able to provide an enormous selection of dishes for numerous styles of dining, and all with full beverage services at hand.

Over the years, The Catering Company has grown to become the regions foremost mobile caterer (out caterer), travelling the North Island to service functions as diverse as large as 4,500 guests at Banquet style dining to smaller social gatherings.

The Catering Company team in Rotorua work together and compliment each other to enable any event to happen with ease. The Catering Company team have accumulated many years of experience catering in a very diverse range of venues and facilities around the greater Bay of Plenty and central North island.
