Chris Powell - Managing Director,

Chris has owned The Catering Company for 18 months and is also the owner of the Fat Dog Cafe & Bar in central Rotorua. With a background in banking Chris decided to branch out into the hospitality sector where he has acquired businesses that have a natural synergy and complement each other. A large client of The Catering Company's is the Lakeland Queen on Lake Rotorua. In total now Fat Dog Enterprises incorporates The Catering Company (Rotorua), The Catering Company (Tauranga), Fat Dog 2 Go, Fat Dog on Campus, Fat Dog Cafe & Bar and the Lakeland Queen. In his spare time he enjoys moonlit strolls with his wife Anna as well as spelunking and donkey riding.

Beck's was firstly introduced to the Fat Dog Cafe in the year 2000. She started as a dishwasher and is still here and loving it 7 years later. She now works in our account department based at the Racecourse doing the Fat Dog's & The Catering Company's accounts & wages. In her spare time she loves playing netball, touch, listening to music, step aerobics & socialising with friends.
